Laird Ackerson, O.D.
Dr. Laird Ackerson has lived in the Hilliard area since 1964. He has been involved in numerous community activities including the Hilliard Optimists and Lions Clubs. He has coached baseball since 1975 for Hilliard area children. He started his practice in 1982 and continues to live and work in his hometown. His interests include: Sports Vision, Contact Lenses, Ocular Health, Vision Training, Pediatric Optometry and treatment of eye disease. Dr. Ackerson believes in staying on the cutting edge of technology, and that preventative care is better than fixing a problem.
Dr. Ackerson is a multi-year recipient of the American Optometric Recognition Award and has over 300 hours of Post Doctorate Education in Behavioral and Developmental Optometry. He is also a member of the American Optometric Association and the Ohio Optometric Association.

Kathryn Vanderhorst, O.D.
Dr. Kathryn Vanderhorst is originally from St. Marys, Ohio. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Dayton and graduated Magna cum Laude from the Ohio State University College of Optometry. She began her career as an optometrist here at the Clarity Eyecare in August of 2006.
Dr. Vanderhorst is an active member of the Hilliard community. She volunteers for the RealEyes classroom initiative by visiting the Hilliard elementary schools and educating the students about the importance of eye health and safety. And she has also participated in giving free eye exams and glasses to Hilliard students who could not afford to see an optometrist on their own.
Dr. Vanderhorst is a member of both the American Optometric Association and the Ohio Optometric Association.

Molly Eddleblute, O.D.
Dr. Molly Eddleblute joined Clarity Eyecare in December of 2012. Dr. Eddlelbute received her Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio University and her Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University. Dr. Eddleblute is originally from Avon Lake, Ohio and she began her optometric career in 2006 with Lakeland Eye Care, an ophthalmology/optometry group practice which is part of the Cleveland Clinic. Her specialties include treating all eye diseases, including glaucoma, cataracts, age-related macular degeneration, diabetes, and ocular trauma.
Dr. Eddleblute is a member of both the American Optometric Association and the Ohio Optometric Association. She participates in the InfantSEE program for children from six to twelve months of age. Dr. Eddleblute enjoyed two mission trips to Honduras, in which she performed eye exams and dispensed glasses to people who do not have access to healthcare.

Lauren Murphy, O.D.
Dr. Lauren Murphy was born and raised in Avon Lake, Ohio, a suburb outside of Cleveland. After completing her Bachelor’s of Science in Biology at Ohio University, she received her Doctorate of Optometry from The Ohio State University College of Optometry where she graduated magna cum laude. During her time at Ohio State she was a member of the American Optometric Association and Beta Sigma Kappa.Dr. Murphy joined the Clarity Eyecare team with a joint goal to provide excellent eye care and to educate patients with compassion and kindness. She is dedicated to providing the quality of care she would want for her own family.
Outside of patient care, Dr. Murphy enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and of course cheering on the Buckeyes!
